12th Annual Virginia Czech and Slovak Folklife Festival
Saturday Oct. 17, 2026
11a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Virginia Czech Slovak Folklife Festival celebrates the cultural heritage of hundreds immigrant
families from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, and other Eastern European countries
who chose to build their lives in Prince George County during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
These families established farms, businesses, churches and communities, preserving their traditions
while becoming Americans.
Through the festival’s music, dance, crafts, costume, the museum’s permanent Czech and Slovak gallery,
and authentic food, visitors may explore cultural traditions, agricultural history, family ancestry, and the
lasting impact of this community on the region.
The event is free; the only cost to visitors is food and drink. Free parking is available and there is
transportation from parking areas to the festival grounds.
The Prince George County Regional Heritage Center is located at 6406 Courthouse Road, Prince George,
VA 23875.
